Post-Graduation Diploma in Road Construction Management is structured to mould Engineering graduates for undertaking professional responsibilities that demand high proficiency and skills in the application of latest technologies, people management and project finance -all with a special reference to infrastructure development and real estate projects. This course imparts knowledge and skills to the trainees through a combination of class room orientation, expert talks, site visits, and fieldwork. This programs covers construction planning, scheduling, monitoring & controlling, project appraisal, contracts management, finance management, safety management, traffic and pavement engineering, advanced road construction materials and technologies, computer-aided design for road construction, quantity surveying, etc. The curriculum is being reviewed annually and incorporated the same with the latest trends and technologies in the Road Construction Industry. Structured internships are arranged in various reputed construction firms during the course.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Road Construction Management (PGDRCM ) is a one-year program comprising of two semesters.
During the one-year program, the trainees should undergo a three months structured internship . In due course of this internship, the trainees will acquire knowledge and skills on planning, scheduling, monitoring & controlling, project appraisal, contracts management, finance management, safety management, traffic and pavement engineering, advanced road construction materials and technologies, computer-aided design for road construction, quantity surveying in infrastructure projects. Internships will be provided in reputed companies handling large scale infrastructure projects.
