The Indian Institute of Infrastructure and Construction (IIIC) serves as a distinguished centre for skill development training, bridging the gap for aspiring youth and empowering working professionals to advance their careers. Established as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ by the Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE) under the Department of Labour and Skills of the Government of Kerala, IIIC offers industry-aligned training programs that equip individuals with the necessary skills for success.
As an authorised Training Centre of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), IIIC ensures that our programs align with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), guaranteeing nationally recognised and standardised training. The institute benefits from expert management by the Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society Limited (ULCCS), a recognised NSDC Training Partner. Additionally, IIIC is designated as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ by the Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) and holds accreditation from the Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council (IESC) to deliver construction equipment training and maintenance programs.
IIIC offers numerous skill development programs in Managerial, Supervisory, and Technician levels. Leveraging a unique andragogical approach, IIIC prioritizes advanced and outcome-oriented skill development through direct mentorship by seasoned industry experts. Live projects and on-the-job training sessions offered at IIIC, foster successful career outcomes right from the onset of the training. IIIC provides numerous placement opportunities for its trainees through an extensive network of reliable industry partners. IIIC also maintains close association with institutions like, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) India, National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) Pune, and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala.
Upskilling programs tailored for government departmental engineers are extended to ensure continued professional development. Internships, on-the-job training, and short-term training programs are imparted to students of Engineering colleges, Polytechnic colleges, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and Vocational Higher Secondary Schools. IIIC is spearheading ‘Mass Skilling’ and certification through ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ (RPL) to address the critical lack of qualified and certified personnel in the industry. This institute is mandated to develop and conduct skill development training programs and is committed to bridging the skill gap in the infrastructure and construction sector.

IIIC, built majestically on 9.2 Acres, along National Highway 66, sticks out a three level contemporarily designed building exuberant with modern aesthetics, suitable for a Centre of Excellence. Envisioned by KASE, with a built-up area of 235,000 Sq Ft, IIIC is endowed with a main block accommodating 38 state of the art smart classes, administrative block, training block, canteens and a KW substation to fulfill all power requirements for the campus. The hostel provides a home away from home for students and faculty with 54 rooms, recreational facilities not limited to AV room and sports ground. A separate canteen provides warm and hygienically prepared food for all hostelers. The campus gives a picturesque visual aesthetics with well manicured gardens, tall trees and ample parking spaces.
ULCCS has established a separate division namely UL Education to promote higher education, skill development, entrepreneurship and to improve employability with collaborators from across the globe. In India, there is a growing awareness about the need for skill development. ULCCS intends to improve employability through appropriate skilling process with industry interface across the globe.
