IIIC Gets Approval Under PMKVY 4.0 to Provide Free Skill Training to 540 Persons
The Indian Institute of Infrastructure and Construction (IIIC), Chavara, Kollam, will offer free Short Term Training (STT) to 540 persons under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 4.0) of the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
The Kerala Academy for Skill Excellence (KASE) received administrative sanction for the training. The 39th meeting of the PMKVY 4.0 Executive Committee (EC), held on 30 September 2026, considered KASE’s proposal and approved it. The Ministry handed the official sanction order to the Director of KASE on 15 October 2026. The Principal Secretary of the Kerala Skills Department will monitor the quality of the training.
The training will be held at IIIC, Chavara, Kollam. It will be offered as 18 courses in the construction and hospitality sectors, with 30 trainees in each course. The Government will bear the full fees of selected candidates. Applicants must be Indian citizens, and people from all categories may apply.
Free Accommodation and Food for Women and Persons with Disabilities
As per the scheme guidelines, women and persons with disabilities (PwD) taking part in the training will receive accommodation and food free of cost.
