The infrastructure sector requires highly skilled individuals who can lead and integrate multidisciplinary teams of professionals. Post-Graduation Diploma in Advanced Construction Management course is an industry-focused one. This course gives an opportunity to not only develop the academic and technical but also management and interpersonal skills. It develops the knowledge and skills through a combination of class room orientation, workshops, expert talks, site visits, and fieldwork. This course covers construction planning, scheduling, monitoring & controlling, project appraisal, tendering contracts and claims management, finance management, resource management, project management tools and techniques with an exposure to BIM, safety management, quantity surveying etc. The curriculum is being reviewed annually and incorporated with the latest trends and technologies in the Construction Industry. Structured internships are arranged in various reputed construction firms during the course. IIIC has a placement record of around 95% for PGDACM program.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Construction Management (PGDACM ) is a one-year program comprising of two semesters. During the one-year program, the trainees should undergo a three months structured internship.
In due course of this internship, the trainees will acquire knowledge and skills on planning, scheduling, monitoring & controlling of projects, contract management, resource management, finance management & risk management in the construction industry.
The internship for first and second batches (2018 and 2019) of PGDACM was arranged at various live projects spread throughout Kerala (Roads, bridges, commercial buildings, schools etc) of ULCCS Ltd., Terrenus, KIIFB projects and so on. The internship for 2021 (batch 1 and batch 2) was at various live projects of L & T, Sobha Developers, Colliers International and Kattera Limited located at Bengaluru, Delhi, Kochi, Chennai. IIIC has closer collaboration with the above mentioned companies for absorption of graduating students.
