World Environment Day 2026 Celebrations at IIIC

The Indian Institute of Infrastructure and Construction (IIIC) proudly celebrated World Environment Day 2026, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability and climate-conscious development.

The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Vinith Kumar Nair, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, who inaugurated the celebrations by planting a Terminalia mantaly variegated sapling on the IIIC campus, symbolizing the institute’s dedication to creating a greener and more sustainable future.

The tree-planting ceremony was conducted in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) B. Sunil Kumar, Director IIIC, Dr. Jomy Thomas, Dean Academics, Dr. Ashfak A, Dean Trainee Affairs and George Antony Constantine, Head of Admissions and Placement along with faculty members, non-teaching staff, and trainees.

As part of the observance, an engaging and insightful session on World Environment Day 2026 was also conducted in connection with the Swachh GAON, Surakshit Jalvayu Campaign. The session emphasized the importance of environmental stewardship, sustainable practices, and collective action towards building climate-resilient communities.

Through such initiatives, IIIC continues to encourage awareness, responsibility, and active participation in protecting our environment for future generations.
