Technical talk on “Structural Safety, Retrofitting and Strengthening against Earthquake and Fire”

The Indian Institute of Infrastructure & Construction (IIIC), Chavara successfully hosted a technical talk on “Structural Safety, Retrofitting and Strengthening against Earthquake and Fire”, delivered by Ms. Agamoni Das, Head – Codes & Approvals (Fastening Systems), Hilti India. The session was graced by Mr. Sreenath Balakrishnan, Specification Consultant, Hilti India.

The session provided valuable insights into structural safety, seismic retrofitting, fire-resistant strengthening techniques, and global engineering best practices, enriching the knowledge of our faculty members and trainees.

Following the technical session, fruitful discussions were held between IIIC and Hilti India on exploring avenues for academic collaboration, including joint technical initiatives, industry-oriented training programmes, faculty and trainee engagement, and the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen long-term cooperation.
