The Indian Institute of Infrastructure and Construction (IIIC), Chavara, organized an insightful technical workshop focusing on Resilient Connections, Safer Structures: Seismic & Fire Protection I association with Hilti (India) pvt. Ltd., bringing together industry experts, faculty members and trainees for a valuable knowledge-sharing experience.

The workshop was graced by Shri V. Suresh, Chairman, NBCS 2026, as the Chief Guest. With over six decades of experience in housing, infrastructure, urban development, building standards and sustainable development, Shri V. Suresh shared valuable insights drawn from his extensive professional experience.

The technical sessions featured distinguished experts from academia and industry:

The programme also had the presence of Mr. Sreenath Balakrishnan, Specification Consultant – Kerala, Hilti India Pvt. Ltd., whose efforts played an important role in strengthening the association between IIIC and Hilti and making the workshop possible at IIIC.

The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to gain practical insights into codes, standards, approvals and industry practices, while fostering meaningful interaction between industry professionals and the academic community.
