The Internship in Quality Assurance and Quality Control is designed to help B.Tech Civil Engineering students understand the methods and practices used to maintain quality in construction projects. The program provides exposure to quality standards, material testing procedures, quality documentation practices, and site inspection activities followed in the construction industry.

Learning Objectives

• 2. Learn common quality standards and site procedures.
• 3. Gain knowledge of material testing and inspections.
• 4. Develop skills in quality documentation and reporting.
• 5. Understand modern QA/QC tools and industry practices.

• 1. Knowledge of principles and importance of QA/QC in construction projects.
• 2. Interpret quality standards, codes, and construction specifications.
• 3. Perform basic quality checks and laboratory tests on construction materials.
• 4. Prepare QA/QC documents such as checklists, ITPs, and test records.
• 5. Perform auditing, inspection, and non-conformance procedures.
• 6. Identify the applications of modern technologies and NDT methods in quality management.

Eligibility

• 1. KTU students from 5th to 8th Semester (B.Tech CE)
• 2. Basic knowledge of Civil engineering principles and laboratory testing procedures is desirable.
• 3. Candidates with an interest in construction quality systems, material testing, modern construction technologies are encouraged to apply.
