One-Day Workshop on Building Information Modelling (BIM)

A one-day workshop has been conducted on 28th October 2022 at Indian Institute of Infrastructure and Construction on Building Information Modelling (BIM). The workshop was held in association with Bexel India. ULCCS Chairman Sri. Rameshan Paleri presided over the function. He called for human resources training to increase the speed and quality of construction work. Digital technologies like BIM will help in increasing the number of skilled laborers.
Sri.K.Bikshapathi Director General, National Academy of Construction, Hyderabad inaugurated the workshop. He said the fall of civil engineering was due to the attractive job conditions and salaries in other wings. The transformation of the construction sector into the digital era will help more youths embrace civil engineering. Sri. Narendra Deshpande, Chief Executive Officer,. Construction Skill Development Council of India spoke on the importance of Skill Development and upskilling programs in the construction sector.

Veljko Janjic, Founder and President, BEXEL Consultancy, Mr. Ajithkumar Vadakkoot, MD (BEXEL India), Prof. (Dr.) B Sunil Kumar, Director(IIIC), Mr. Raghavan K, Deputy Director(IIIC). Sri. B .S. Mukund, Head (BIM), L&T, were the other key speakers of this workshop.
The session was also attended by IIIC Staff members and trainees, Engineering College Faculty and students, and Officials from Government Departments.
