Indian institute of infrastructure and construction (IIIC) based at Chavara, Kollam calls application for 17 skill development courses for the month of January 2020. All the courses are recognised by Government of Kerala and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Moreover AICTE, AIMA and International facility management association, Cambridge English and Construction sector skill council approved courses will be offered during this period. The courses include Technician, Supervisory and Managerial courses. The managerial courses include 6 months Graduate ship programme for Mechanical and Civil engineering graduates, Post graduate diploma in Retail management, PGD in Facilities and Contract management, Advanced diploma in GIS and Data Centre Infrastructure. Supervisory courses include Data Centre installation and Maintenance, Quality technician courses. Diploma and ITI certificate holders can apply for supervisory level programmes. Technician level courses are intended for those who studied up to 10th Standard. They include Electrician, construction welder, Asst Bar bender, STP operator, Painting and Finishing and Road construction machine operator. Duration of three level courses may range from 3 months to one year. Moreover IIIC will offer CEPT and lingua skill programme of Cambridge English so as to improve the English language Listening, Reading, Writing and speaking skills of students. Since ULCCS is an affiliated centre of Cambridge English of Cambridge University, UK, various courses notified by Cambridge English will be offered through this institute. Students above 17 years age can enrol for the Cambridge English programme which in turn will improve their English communication and employability. Kerala Academy for Skills and 94 year old co-operative ULCCS Ltd are jointly running the institute. Cutting edge technology, modern laboratories and workshops, advanced infrastructure facilities, industry interface, facilities for placement and hostel facilities are some of the advantages of IIIC courses.
