FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (FDP) AT IIIC: 10th & 11th JUNE 2020

With an objective to fine-tune the skills of faculties of Indian Institute of Infrastructure & Construction (IIIC) and take their careers & the Institution to the next level during the Covid-19 Pandemic era, a two-day FDP by Webinar was arranged for the faculties of IIIC on 10th and 11th of June 2020 at IIIC campus. While inaugurating the Webinar, Director UL Education, Dr. T.P. Sethumadhavan, had stressed the necessity to unlock the performance code for teaching professionals and take their careers and the Institution to the next level. FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (FDP) AT IIIC: 10th & 11th JUNE 2020 With an objective to fine-tune the skills of faculties of Indian Institute of Infrastructure & Construction (IIIC) and take their careers & the Institution to the next level during the Covid-19 Pandemic era, a two-day FDP by Webinar was arranged for the faculties of IIIC on 10th and 11th of June 2020 at IIIC campus. While inaugurating the Webinar, Director UL Education, Dr. T.P. Sethumadhavan, had stressed the necessity to unlock the performance code for teaching professionals and take their careers and the Institution to the next level. Dr. Shreekumar Menon, Director, IIIC had made a presentation on "Creative Visualisation" throughout which he had kept the attendees on their toes. He stated that this FDP is the first in a series of such programs designed to enhance professional profiles in educational leadership and evaluation. While addressing, Dr. Hari Kishore Bhat, Associate Professor, Yenepoya Dental College had instilled the importance of 'Ethics'. He also delivered a speech on 'Uncertainty' during the current COVID situation and stated that we could overcome this if we take it as a challenge and opportunity On the second day, Mr. Riji N Das, Senior Knowledge Officer of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) had given a detailed presentation on Artificial Intelligence (Al) and the use of Al technology in the day-to-day world and its potential use in various fields. Dr. Ashwini Shetty, Associate Professor, Yenapoya Medical College, had imparted a lesson on 'Basic Teaching and Learning Methodology'. Also, there were talks on 'Leadership and Attitude' by Mr. Anilkumar Stantilavose, Training Head of Lizz Academy, and 'Train the Teachers' by Mr Parag Makhecha, Owner of INCOR Furniture and Event Broadcasting Corporation, and both the talks were helpful for the faculties. Mr. Rameshan Paleri, Chairman, ULCCS, and Mr. Shaju, MD, ULCCS had stated that the FDP would augment the organizational capabilities and culture of teachers. Mr. K. Raghavan, Director – Administration, UL Education had delivered the welcome speech, and Mr. Biswas P, proposed the Vote of Thanks. -Director, IIIC
